PULSE (Public Library Sharing E-media) contains electronically formatted books and audio books perfect for reading on a handheld device or personal computer. E-media may be downloaded on as many devices simultaneously as you like and are automatically returned on its due date, so no more late fees!

EBSCO Host audio book collection contains both abridged and unabridged books narrated in audio format. These audio books are great for people who have difficulty reading or just want to listen to a story on the go.
Some Help to get you started with Electronic Media
New to electronic media? This section of the Tutorial page outlines the one-time steps needed to get you started regardless of which computer or handheld device you use.
Step 1: Get a Library Card
Bring photo identification and a piece of recent mail to confirm your address to the library main desk and fill out an application for a library card.
Step 2: Get an Adobe I.D.
1. Follow this link
2. Below the “Sign In” button, click on the link labelled “Don’t have an Adobe ID?”
3. Fill in your email, first and last name, and your desired password (Be sure to write down the password you used and store it in a safe place)
5. Click on the yellow button labelled “Create”
6. Next, click on the “Skip this >” located at the bottom of the form, just below the “continue” button
7. You are done this Step!
Step 3: Install the Software
For PULSE Ebooks and Audio Books:
“Overdrive Media Console” is required on your device in order to read any electronic media borrowed from Midland Public Library. This can be installed directly to a Wi-Fi enabled device through your devices app store.
For Dedicated E-Readers (KOBO, Sony):
Dedicated E-Readers such as the KOBO require downloading the e-book to a computer first, and then transferring it to the device via Adobe Digital Editions Found Here
