Virtual – Rabbit & Bear Paws Author Visit

Saturday, September 26, 2pm

Join us online as Chad Solomon, a member of the Henvey Inlet First Nation, does a workshop for all ages based on his comics, The Adventures of Rabbit & Bear Paws.

You’ll learn about Seven Grandfather Teachings and how to apply them in every day life, create a short comic book story based on one of the teachings, and have a chance to win a door prize!

Rabbit and Bear Paws is for the young and the young at heart. This series is set in 1750’s colonized North America and features the comical adventures of two brothers, Rabbit and Bear Paws. Using traditional Anishinaabe teachings and humour, the stories are based on the Seven Fires prophecies and the Seven Grandfather teachings. Chad learned from his own grandfather that no matter how old you become, you should always be young-at-heart, and that laughter is the greatest medicine.

Contact Faith, fshergold@midlandlibrary.com or 705-526-4216 ext. 3305 to register and receive the online meeting information.

Thanks to the Culture Alliance in the Heart of Georgian Bay for their sponsorship of this program.
