Where is the Library?

The Midland Public Library is located at 320 King Street in Midland, Ontario.

What are the overdue fines for materials?

Adult & Juvenile material fines are $0.25 per day. Fines on special equipment and kits are $2.00 per day.

How many items can I borrow at a time?

Adult cards may check out 30 items, Juvenile cards may check out 15 items.

Each card may take a maximum of 6 DVDs at one time.

I forgot my PIN number. How do I reset it?

Your PIN number should be the last 4 digits of your telephone number. You can always call us at (705)526-4216 if you need assistance.

Can I use Wi-Fi at the Library?

Absolutely! Wi-Fi is accessible with your library card. If you don’t have a library card we can issue you a temporary internet pass anytime.

How long can I have items checked out?

For books & audio books the loan period is 3 weeks. For magazines, DVDs and video games, the loan period is 1 week.

What are the fees for a library card if I don’t live in Midland?

Rates for memberships for those living outside of Midland or the Townships of Tiny and Oro-Medonte can be located here.

What do I do if I lost my library card?

Please call and let us know so we can put a hold on your account. Then come into the library and we can issue a replacement card for you. Replacement cards are available for a $3 fee.

What do I do if I want a book that isn’t in the library’s collection?

Not a problem, we can help. We can look for the item for you and if available bring it in through our interlibrary service. For more details on how this service works please click here.

You can renew your items or check the status of something by logging into your account here, or by using the Simcoe County Libraries app.
